Prolific Fortean Author, Nick Redfern was one of the featured presenters at the first UFO HUB Lecture Series. Recent release is "Flying Saucers From the Kremlin." When Contactees pushed certain (communism) agendas it called the source of their material into question - seeming more terrestrial than ET. Unlike Stanton Friedman, Nick believes Bob is sincere, even if all the details of his story might be hard to entirely validate.



Nick has also presented at the Ozark Mountain UFO Conference. Speaking here on the topic that continues to fascinate him, Men in Black, he opens with background on what sparked his interest in UFOs. Nick says he has never seen a UFO himself but his father was involved in two incidents while working as a radar mechanic in the British Royal Air Force. [RAF] Link.

I shared my own curious MIB experiences, including immediately altering my life plans after a very realistic dream encounter. Long story short, when MIB show up in a dream with a request to do something, take heed. The second request might not be as pleasant and there is a possibility the first request was also the last. An interview with Nick Redfern on how he got involved in researching UFOs and Paranormal Phenomena. This is from 2012. He had just published Close Encounters of the Fatal Kind. In 2018, he can now talk about some of his own first-hand accounts with the paranormal and unexplained.



The newest book from Nick (June 5, 2018 publication date) is The Black Diary: M.I.B, Women in Black, Black-Eyed Children, and Dangerous Books.

Note the warning on the book cover. Read a few more encounters and you realize he is very serious. A near miss by a lightning strike sets the tone. And that story has an interesting connection. We cover that in the interview.

My own MIB encounter happened in a dream that I took as a warning and a prompt for immediate action. I was given instructions. I remember the details, the scene and why it was important. There was no audible conversation. Our communication was brief and telepathic.

The part I didn't mention was some of what was going on during my waking hours. We had an unusual amount of pedestrian activity at that time, people we didn't recognize, walking by and lingering in front of the house.

Often, they would be carrying a cell phone. The other odd piece was an increase in Helicopter traffic. Mostly, at night. There is more to the story. 2009 was an interesting year.

The Black Diary collection includes an encounter with a skeletal WIB who shows up after a UFO sighting: "The Government is Concerned." There is MIB intimidation in "Don't Say a Word" and in a very interesting and unusual file, a Contactee who (like PK Man Ted Owens), claimed psychic forces (source) gave her information that the Challenger Space Shuttle disaster was intentional - sabotaged.

While we're on the topic of Fortean, the latest entry from Jeffrey Mishlove's 'New Thinking Allowed' teases the topic of Skinwalker Ranch. Unexplained and then some. John B. Alexander opens a lot of doors.



In the Wendy's Coffeehouse archives, Jeffrey Mishlove talks about the enigma that was Ted Owens. He demonstrated extraordinary PK abilities and attributed some of that to his UFO/space brothers.  


Recapping the 4/16/17 show with Nick Redfern -

Nick covers a lot of ground in his recent book, 365 Days of UFOs, A Year of Alien Encounters. Stories include ETs, Contactees, Men and Women in Black, Orbs and Bigfoot (at least 3 Bigfoot encounters that include UFOs sightings) and stuff that doesn't fit into a category.

We talk about several fascinating accounts. Here's an example - and one we didn't get to during the show: Paraphrasing from the book entry for September 28, 1984 in Adelaide, Australia. [Too Amazed to be Scared. Woman walking home from the late shift nearly bumps into a small man about two feet tall, dressed in a one-piece silver suit with a large helmet. He ran across the road and disappeared.]

So many stories; so many unanswered questions. Anyone who has ever had a run in with something too wild for words will appreciate the variety and the possibility there are others who know that same mind boggling feeling when "reality" is eclipsed by the unfathomable. No putting the Genie back in the bottle after that. 

Asked who or what, if he had to narrow the focus to one topic of interest, Mothman is the winner. Nick wrote about a recent road trip in search of Mothman.

Weapons of the Gods is (almost) the latest book from prolific Fortean Author Nick Redfern and he delivers a host of new clues that suggest we have plenty of unsolved mysteries hidden in our timeline.

Jumping into the search for connecting dots with the topic of Death Rays (Wiki) it might be that the ancient language creates one obvious barrier. Tesla comes up when I suggest he might have been an Alien and Nick says it wasn't that kind of Alien being referenced. Interesting stuff on the father of the atomic bomb, Dr. Robert Oppenheimer, and a cryptic comment he made suggesting the atom bomb the US discharged might not have been the first in the history of our planet.  

Other questions include the origin of extremely radioactive skeletons and an anomaly turning up in unexpected locales: Trinitite, the glassy stone created by atomic detonation.

What we didn't cover on air and gives a twist to the ET question is the chapter on Cryptoterrestrials, suggested to have experienced and escaped apocalyptic conditions that drove them deep underground. The theory is that these beings are so much like us they can easily mix without detection among the surface dwellers and might have a vested interest in planting information motivating surface Earth dwellers to save the planet. When I asked him what he thought about the latest Nessie sighting, he revealed yet another upcoming release, a book on the Loch Ness subject due out in October, 2016. Prolific. And fascinating.
