Publisher, editor of Alternate Perceptions Magazine. Featured articles and interviews cover a wide range of topics including Fortean, Paranormal and Metaphysics.

John Keel was a source of inspiration for Brent at a young age. He was fortunate to connect. John became a mentor. He has authored two other books on Fortean topics, On the Edge of Reality: Dreamweavers and Visitors from Hidden Realms.  In the most recent book, John Keel: The Man, The Myths, and the Ongoing Mysteries, he wanted to share insight from others who had been influenced by Keel and some of his own findings from interviewing experiencers.

The dream 2/5/21 - I am staring at the sky outside and listening to weather reports talking about the storm. I see sections of blue but the clouds are very active and beautiful. We seem to be on the edge and won't get hit with the full measure of the storm.

The clouds keep billowing, writhing and rolling in the strong winds up above but now I see fog approaching and wafting toward me. I watch in curiosity as it separates into individual clouds that then morph into five identical Elephants.

They are standing there and motionless for a brief moment. I want to take their picture but don't have time to do anything but watch. As I do, they turn in unison and walk off, single file into the mist. I am astounded. It was intentional. What is it I have seen. I have been given a gift. What is the insight?

And that was it. Even in the dream I wanted to remember it so I could write it down and work with the symbolism. And so I have a new present to unpack.

Consciousness is the common denominator for any and all of our experiences. So many questions to explore. Rather than why (does this happen?), a more efficient use of energy and focus is to ask how (is this possible?).

If we are working a problem and seeking answers or clues (insight in some form), the most efficient use of energy is to go with the flow. No presupposing. Unknowns require a blank slate and an intuitive allowing. Opening to creative imagery and imagination yields to the unexpected and novelty. There is the possibility to receive information/answers we could not anticipate.

  An experiencer he interviewed is the subject of the film Witness of Another World.
  Yet another story offering more evidence that whatever is happening in regard to UFOs, the stories are unique and require investigation and follow up beyond the initial Q & A. Experiencers are changed.

• And then there's this. Research on DMT (N,N-Dimethyltryptamine). "Encounters felt more "real" than reality. This was true for 81 percent of respondents during the encounter, and 65 percent after the encounter." Big Think.

How do we know what is real here? My reality has paranormal quirks and interactive nightlights each and every day. So - it might be that "reality" is different for each of us and we don't know that without asking questions. Lots of questions.

Brent Raynes edits the Web Zine - Alternate Perceptions Magazine and is the author of  Visitors From Hidden Realms (2004) (Excerpted on this blog site from a reader who has her own story to add) and On The Edge of Reality (2009).

He is currently working on a third book tentatively titled UFOs, Monsters, Miracles, and Jadoo, an exploration of the life and pioneering research and investigations of journalist John A. My 2013 bedroom encounter with a red and green lighted dinner-plate sized UFO rules out the barium cloud aspect.

What is going on here? So many questions and not enough of the big picture to provide a clear view.  There is a larger playing field to examine and the key is to allow that - for all that we "know" - mapping this terrain requires the ability to expand one's awareness in a way that allows for knowing m-o-r-e beyond the linear POV.

Garnet asked Albert why he showed up as a physical being first. Albert said he wanted to ease him into the concept and not frighten him or cause him to think he was delusional.

Good plan. Four books later, the adventure spans conversations with enlightened beings, meetings with magical creatures and travels to other dimensions and other galaxies.

Garnet was still practicing law when the encounters started. He kept mum about the whole thing until after stepping away from his career. Even kept it from his wife. He's past that now and sharing the story simply to offer the perspective that we can have help from spirit companions and our efforts to work for a greater cause do make a difference.

Albert is adamant that more higher consciousness focus is needed at this time to avert global environmental crisis.
