If they're there, they're there,' Mrs. Phipps said.” - Joan Lowery Nixon , The Haunting This is my favorite annual event. *Dining with Ghosts in Weston, Missouri.  This would almost be the view when the Missouri River port was at the bottom of Main Street in Weston, Missouri.  The view! First time - after 9 or so years of coming to this event - we could see the Missouri River from the top of the hill on Main Street. Flooding earlier in the year and a recent levee failure have given views that are a reminder [almost] of what it used to look like before the channel changed in 1881. KC Star . At one time, the Missouri River was at the bottom of the hill where Jeff's Architectural Salvage and Weston Burley House are now located. Timing this year also offered a chance to see the Orionids .
