Ghost Tales of Weston - Friday night 10/26 is filling and Saturday 10/27 is sold out. At least one group of attendees on the ghost tour had an interesting encounter last weekend at the Benner House.

Formerly a B & B, now an overflow site for the Saint George Hotel. As the tour party gathered, the presenter at the site said an odd cloud of fog emerged from the house and wafted above them. The fog was followed by an excited teen who ran out of the house and told everyone he had heard voices and footsteps. Staying behind while others in his group had gone out, he was alone.

Lively paranormal activity continues at the Weston Bend Candle Company. (A Paranormal Research group was visiting Saturday night. I'll update with results of their investigation when available.)

Last February, on a very slow day, the owner thought he heard someone at the door. While no living being was seen entering, a calling card appeared on the floor inside a space occupied by a display rack that would have been impossible to walk through. Water droplets formed the shape of a boot print, as if snow had been tracked in and traces were left melting on the floor. He showed me the photo he took. Definitely a footprint.
Nicolette is featured on the Weston Ghost Tour.

No doubt you've heard of haunted objects. Weston is home to one fair lady doll who can no longer occupy the front window because she tends to ice up the glass.

Verna Kowertz writes about Nicolette in her book Ghost Tales of Weston. Page 36, Adams Mayfair.

A timely highlight, reported last weekend and posted October 20th, by a Main Street Galleria customer to Haunted Places. She took a picture of The Saint George Hotel having no idea it was haunted. Check out the very curious image in that window on the second floor.

And the post just previous is by Chris Williams who told me about his unnerving experience at The Saint George when he attended the Ghost Tales event last year (2017). I am glad he posted it.

Numerous homes and businesses are known to be haunted in Weston. Very few are open to the public in general and some that are don't mention their ghosts..

Ghost Tales of Weston, Page 83. The Price-Loyles House, built in 1857, is absent from the Ghost Tour but will be featured on the December Candlelight Homes Tour.

Actively haunted, the owners who bought and restored this historic home confess they altered their plans to live in the home full time due to the fact they are uncomfortable being in the house alone at night.

Photo evidence hints at the paranormal presence in their residence. The focus is a mirror in the bedroom. Other than furniture, the room was empty. However, a couple - smartly dressed in period clothes - appears clearly visible in the reflection.

Weston Ghosts and the nearly attached ... Dinner with spirits

“Never invite any kind of spirit to enter either your home or your person. This is an extremely important point to remember. To do so always risks to unwittingly invite evil spirits in, instead. Good spirits never need to be invited in.” The New Homeowner's Guide to House Spirits, Alexei Maxim Russell, Amazon

Year number 13 for Dining with Ghosts in Weston, Mo. Always interesting. I have made some wonderful connections in Weston and through the guests who have been kind enough to share their stories with me. [An Atheist in Heaven, The Cat who turned White, Mind Control ability lost due to an Accident.]

My participation in this event started in 2010. Each year is unique.

Main Street Galleria, Weston, Mo.
Dining with Ghosts
One can expect an overview of the historical highlights outlining the more famous tales but the town is alive with hauntings and new stories are added with each passing year.

As I experience an amplified energy in the space and at the event, I usually prepare myself in advance. This year was no exception but it was different, that amplification had a kicker.

Other elements to factor: weather, crowd and spirit presence. While preparing for the event, I had a prompt from my spirit guides to, "Stay focused." Not quite sure what that referenced, I asked for clarification.

My guides suggested I needed to pay closer attention to the attendees for that evening and told me I would be "tagged". Asking for a definition of "tagged" - I got nothing. They suggested I would be shown and that would be my answer. Obviously. (Severus Snape picture in my mind now.)

Guides have a sense of humor. Each time they put me through something like this, the chuckles are to be anticipated in the epilogue. Always.

Reassuring me that this situation is not intended to present a harm to anyone, they indicate there will be plenty of warning and cues to the presence of the "tag" in that I would have a sensation of the issue and I would know who and what it was about when it happened. Conveniently vague.

My biggest challenge with this information is to avoid overthinking or projecting an expectation or outcome onto whatever issue I am supposed to address. That's how each new adventure starts. Short on description. Long on connecting invisible dots. Charades.

The only hints the guides offered were that the source was male and one who was not apt to blend into the crowd. Even small clues are helpful. Turns out I didn't have to look too hard to find the guy. But they knew that. Insert chuckle.

Andy (husband) helps to give me perspective when I need it. He knows what I have been advised and keeps watch for anything out of the ordinary.

When we first arrived, I wondered if there might be any sort of preview of what might be in store. In a glimpse, might I identify the person I was warned about?

No luck. Uncertain as to what I am looking for anyway, the night passes without incident.

About the time I have pretty much forgotten the warning, I start to feel something odd, a tightening sensation in the left side of my chest.

As it progresses, from my heart down, across the rib cage, into my solar plexus, I wonder what is happening. This makes no sense. I don't say anything but the tension is building, my jaw is tightening and I am thinking I might need to shift position and stand up for a minute. Starting to become a bit concerned. Do I need to leave?

Redirect. Focus. Ground. Then I catch a few words of the conversation in progress, directly across the table from me. It begins to filter in. Curious, I detach from the discomfort and start to listen. The guy is talking about his experience at the haunted hotel across the street.

In the middle of describing a sensation that frightened him the most, he details the part of the story where he was alone in a hotel bathroom and was unexpectedly assaulted with

stories. Curious? Book a room.
a pain in his chest - a stabbing pain - that paralyzed him and made him unable to leave the stall.

The sensation left when his girlfriend arrived to open the door. In hearing his story, the odd tightness in my chest dissolved.

Understanding very clearly how I felt and sensed a shift in my being with this encounter, I can better define the term "tagging" as something that happens when an entity/ghost/thought-form attempts to attach to another energy source.

(Not the first time I've been through something like this. Advance warning from my guides is helpful.)

Entities can attach to anything, living or simply a material form. A store down the street from the Galleria is home to a haunted doll. The windows ice up when she is displayed at the store front. In this case, the entity appeared to prefer a living being, me.

When the guy was calm and in a relaxed state, the entity dislodged to seek out a different host. As soon as he reminisced and relived his frightening encounter, he became animated and excited in the act of relating the dynamic of that bold physical contact. The entity then reattached to him and refueled.

He had been seated directly across from me all along but I hadn't sensed anything unusual until there was a lull in the activity at the table. That is when I begin to feel odd sensations and changes in my physical body.

The entity created an intense shift in my physical body when it siphoned energy from me, giving me a reminder and an immediate awareness of the potential drain these types of beings can create when one is in their presence - even if the person afflicted has no awareness or belief in such anomalies.

Thhe need to engage psychic self-defense and energetic clearing is helpful as a regular practice and even more so when going to places that are known (and often famous) for active hauntings.

The very short encounter I describe created enough of a drain on my energy system that I spent the next 24 hours recuperating. I had also been warned, intentionally, to underscore the lesson.

Interesting what our guides know and
how much or little they are at liberty to disclose.

Indications from my spirit guides and from physical sources who are aware of the individual involved in this incident regarding the situation and the "tag" scenario are that any release I might offer would be unwelcome and/or rejected by one who is enamored with the attachment or caught up in the excitement of the drama.

As long as there remains a desire and an interest or invitation from the human host involved for those types of encounters, the potential for psychic [PK] chaos remains and provides a fuel source for various entities. Those who come into contact with such a person can expect the unexpected.

However, there is no need to be afraid or discouraged in situations where this type of activity is more prevalent. Do expand your PSI tools and broaden your awareness to understand the scenarios and individuals who (knowingly and not) feed these entities.

Epilogue: Only afterward did the guides inform me that the "tag" would not stick because we were incompatible. They explain it as a matter of frequency and vibration. We are not a match. I don't offer enough fuel to feed the entity. That is a tiny compliment - and they find it amusing. Translation: I am dull in a bright way. Funny.

- - -

When the 'Energy' first presented a case for these beings in Talking to Nightlights, I didn't have enough PSI awareness to appreciate or understand the potential for a symbiotic attachment and how that might work.

2 decades later. I have had time to process and engage, through personal contact, a wide variety of these non-physical beings in a more direct manner and find it apparent that entities such as these can create havoc in ways we have yet to account for or openly acknowledge. While that fact might be unspoken outside metaphysical circles, it isn't any big secret.

What remains to be done with the entity who tagged me? It's complicated. Telling it to move on or clearing the space are among the options but not a topic I will address here.

The greater point being: Our thoughts and emotions unchecked are creating a great deal of surplus source fuel for entities running amuk. (Not to mention the corporeal delinquents having a field day.) When we clean up our thoughts to embrace, transmute and integrate our emotions, some of those mischievous entities, with nothing left to stir the pot, will finally be motivated to move on.

Note: Weston is listed on various sites as one of the most haunted cities in Missouri. Haunted sites don't measure activity by calendar dates. Ghosts are present 24/7. If you desire an encounter, visit. No guarantees.

A recent report [10/17] involved a tourist who said she and her friends saw no ghosts in nearby Atchison. She then encountered a ghost at the Galleria, not once, but twice.

She told Verna (Owner of Main Street Galleria) she saw a woman - who wasn't there -walk briskly by her in a hallway.

The tourist had a second incident downstairs. She told the employee someone (unseen) pulled her hair, and promptly vacated.

Her ghost-hunting friends, excited about the possibility of interaction, remained and pulled out their cell phones to explore, hoping to capture images or sounds. No results.

Belief in the supernatural or ghosts is not required. However, once one has had an encounter, disbelief is harder to hang onto. Don't be surprised if your friendships change.

Visitors are welcome at Main Street Galleria and invited to shop or dine during business hours throughout the year. https://www.westongalleria.com/

Verna Kowertz, living with the Ghosts and Ghosted in Weston, Missouri

"To those ghosts who are at home and content, self-aware in their altered presence, we are the quirk. Uncomfortable in our evolving density, bumping up against them, spooked by their presence, we demand their reassignment. "Get out of my space!" In that fashion, it's the living who haunt the dead.

On with the circus, the dog and pony show and all manner of corporeal entreaties to shove the clearly dead onward in their departure. So be it. Amused ghosts oblige the living their ignorance in believing all phantom encounters imply engagement with one who has somewhere else to depart by masking their imprint until the corporeal has upgraded a density or two.

Stubborn ghosts carry on - rattling the shells of living, until they realize the form is the ghost. When formless-in-presence fully, one can opt to lighten up in any form and/or persist with the self-enhancing task of enlightening the densities. Cheers to the Revelation!" - Talking to Nightlights II

And the search goes on...

In Weston, Missouri, one of the most popular events of the year is the annual dining with Ghosts at Verna Kowertz' Main Street Galleria. Like many other buildings in Weston, the space is haunted.

St. Joe Newspress has more background on Verna and the ghosts.

Reservations at westongalleria@gmail.com
In the 17 plus years Verna has had the building, numerous encounters have been reported by guests and employees, including a curious text message that registered at the same time  on the cell phones of each person in the shop. New hires are asked if working in a haunted building will be a problem.

Weston is popular with paranormal groups due to the availability of the haunted sites and the proximity to Kansas City. Local civil war history is documented.

Wendy's Coffeehouse 7/16/17 interview - Paranormal Author F. P. (Frank) Dorchak

Frank and I have a few things in common - including being fans of The Twilight Zone (I had to sneak out of bed to watch the show - long story.), a love for writing scary stories as kids and experiencing all manner of strange and unusual things.

He also does the isolation floats so I was looking forward to sharing and comparing our experiences. Float number 8, Frank's Blog. We have had some interesting incidents but he has an even better resource in a float diary he's been keeping. For the whole story, start at the beginning and chart the progress. This is why we float. Frank's other Blog, Float 1 -7.

I think I am at about 8 or 10 and it continues to shift and change each and every time. Great for decompressing and unwinding. Always relaxing, no matter what the encounter. Floating KC offers a special rate for first timers, 30 percent off, if you mention the show or this post.

Haunts, frights, weird, disturbing, mind-bending, Frank peppers his stories with personal incidents. We talk about a few, including a disappearing grape and the reappearing ring.

That ring story isn't so far out when compared to one I posted about Psychic Spy/Remote Viewer Lyn Buchanan who talked with Jeffrey Mishlove about the reaction he got when he perfected his PK talent of putting a rock through a metal plate. Blog Post. Unappreciated to say the least.

Preview of Frank's Book - 'Sleepwalkers' -

Interview highlights include Frank's brother - and the Silver Man sighting and a visitation from dancing Vaudevillians. He includes some of the strange encounters he has experienced in his books as part of the storyline. Which book and what encounter? You'll have to follow-up with Frank. Link.

A collection of short stories is due out this fall, 'Do the Dead Dream?' ... Asking me? Depends on POV and definition of "Dead"... We've got a lot to learn about consciousness, reality, the dream plane and non-corporeal states and abilities. We might be their dream. Imagination is limitless.

Trick or treat? In Weston, MO the ghosts celebrate four seasons

“Hauntingly active as they share space with the living, the dead refuse to give up their undead residency.” - Pamela K. Kinney, Paranormal Petersburg, Virginia, and the Tri-Cities Area

Prods, pokes and tugging of hair, a few notable reminders that, beyond that seeing thing, spirits have other ways of making their presence known.

Included on the Weston Ghosts Tour this year is Weston Bend Candle Company. Haunting ambiance in abundance, this Weston retail space houses deliciously fragrant wax creations, a resident pillow warmer in the form of one well nourished and very hug-able black cat and more than a few unpredictable spirits.

New in their corner store location, the owners say they hadn't experienced ghosts in the former middle-of-the-block  space and certainly didn't expect them here. But, here they are. Although it took a few encounters for everyone to be convinced, eventually, even the doubters were on board.

All can now attest that the space has residents of the unseen variety. Fortunately, that is exactly what visiting Ghost tourists want to hear - and experience - should the opportunity present itself.

If you can't make the tour, shadow Kathy Quinn of Kansas City's Fox 4 who paid Weston Bend Candle Store a visit.

Celebrating Halloween in a town where the haunts are not limited to a single season is certainly interesting, given the added potential for an up-close and personal encounter.

Verna's Dinner Theater Productions - Ghost Tales of Weston and the Ghost Walk, presented by members of the Weston Community Theater is an annual event. This year the three nights were sold out by October 12th.

It has been mentioned that another night might be added to next year's schedule. To avoid missing out, book early. Or, there now is another alternative if you missed out or if you can't make the trip.

A new book is available that includes several stories of some well known past and ongoing Weston ghost encounters. Ghost Tales of Weston by Verna Kowerts, is available for purchase online and on site at Weston Main Street Galleria.
