Orb photos, Stanley Hotel Ghosts, Guardian Angels and Karma

“But I don’t want to go among mad people," Alice remarked. "Oh, you can’t help that," said the Cat: "we’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad." "How do you know I’m mad?" said Alice. "You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn’t have come here.” - Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland, Quotes

(Note regarding post status: Apparently, NOT the Orb photos most are looking for.)

Wendy's Coffeehouse 11/4/18 -

In this show/podcast, I talked about some of my encounters with The *Stanley Hotel Ghosts, verbal warnings from Guardian Angels and I mentioned some of the Orb photos I have taken. Note: I have an interview scheduled with Tim Scullion on his Ghost Photography.

In this first image, I knew the person, having connected with him on his daily walks. I met his daughter and discovered some of the family history after he died.

In passing, we talked about her Mom and the possibility of an estate sale. I knew someone who could help. Her dad was friendly and walked the neighborhood trailing an oxygen tank and companion collie. I would miss his comforting presence.

I was working at the desk when one of the lights on the lamp went out. The doorbell rang and I was greeted by his daughter who handed me two smiley face cups.

I took a picture of the lamp after she left. The bulb came back on. Only later, in reviewing the photos, did I notice the orb on the stand, half way up - at the same level as the books in the background.

The second image was another happy accident. I have no idea why I took the photo. Possibly a redecorating fantasy. On the couch is a recently acquired garage sale pillow. Beside the pillow is an orb.

I have curtailed my garage sale, estate sale and open house tours. Several encounters taught me to respect boundaries and attachments.

Recently deceased occupants are often lingering and determining who gets what. Sometimes they venture out to survey the new arrangement.

I have had at least one instance of being given a certain item I had no intention of purchasing and was not in the bag when I walked out - having somehow found away to my house.

It was a DVD and a very sweet story - just one I intentionally set aside in favor of those I was familiar with.

Here's another photo anomaly. First year in the house and I wanted a picture of the Christmas tree. Bonus: Christmas Ghost.

One person said it was the camera strap. Another suggested my hand was the source and another said it was 'fog'. If it is any one or none of those things, it was the only image with 'fog' in that group. Apparently the 'Ghost' held her breath for the rest of the photo shoot. (No camera strap that I remember.)

There are others but the most unusual image is one I didn't take. I'll save that one for a later post.

Reality bites - UFOs, Ghosts and other Un-real challenges taunt our artificially placid 'reality' present

The dead do haunt the living when the business is unfinished. As do the living haunt the dead when pining a goodbye ill-timed. Departures allow for a change in scene. While the quantum flows on. In a blink, I remember.

Fascinating example of reality beyond our present knowing and the challenge presented when it comes to proof.

This visual required: 1/advanced tech, 2/pointed in the right direction, 3/at the right time, 4/ by someone curious enough to have an interest. And then there is the counter argument that whatever proof exists is being suppressed.

Disclosure happens one proof/individual experience at a time. Eventually, the tide turns and dots connect. Take away? Personal experience is more validating than anecdotal evidence. Regardless of the science behind it. However, in the big scheme of things, Science fills the void.

Baby steps. And forward we go.

Weston haunted. Engaging paranormal occupants unseen. Happy Halloween!

KC Haunts -
As part of a paranormal group, I visited one business in Lenexa a few years ago that sold and has since remained vacant. Actively haunted. The owner decided to sell after multiple attempts by various groups failed to calm the place. Concerned about the chaos and for her [at the time] teenage daughter working alone in the building.

Noted: ongoing encounters with ghosts. Visitors, including children, reported sightings of  a young child standing near the checkout counter. Some reported being touched.

Ghost Tales of Weston had an unexpected highlight this year.

Two visitors came up for the day and happened to capture a very unique photo of something standing near a window of a vacant room in the Saint George Hotel. The photo soon went viral and was reported on a local TV station.

Only after the two stopped in for lunch across the street at Main Street Galleria did they discover the haunted history of the hotel.

A staple on the annual ghost tour, stories about the hotel include the past history and current ghost encounters.

Curious? Book room 308, 306 or 302
and then consider the ghosts inhabit the entire building.
One of the most chilling present day encounters involved a local high school student who had just started working at the hotel when she tried to change a burned out light bulb.

Standing on a ladder, she witnessed the bulb turn - by itself - in the socket. And then it shattered.

She immediately resigned and wanted nothing else to do with the building. I know the long-time news reporter who relayed that story. The girl was a friend of his daughter.

I sat across from Chris Williams at the Ghost Tales event last year and heard him talk about his experience in a Saint George hotel bathroom. He posted part of that story on this site.

The last few sentences sum it up. "My heart was racing, and my BP was elevated. The whispers subsided the minute she (his wife) came for me, and as soon as I was calmed down enough, I exited through the back door. I didn’t want to be alone, for fear that I drop dead. There is a lot more to the story, but it’s a lot to type right now. This made me a true believer, and it truly scared me, almost to death."

Scents and spooky ambiance on the Weston Ghost Tour.
Weston visitors have the luxury of opting whether to believe.

Residents and those who work in local businesses are confronted with a different reality when they discover that the encounters have nothing to do with belief.

Denial won't make a ghost go away.

Weston is a hot spot for paranormal activity. Fair warning - much of the town is haunted.

One very active location at this time is the Weston Bend Candle Company. Results are expected in the next week or two from the recent investigation by a paranormal group. Looking forward to sharing the details. They did offer a hint as they left the building. Something to the effect that it was, "...a very active night".
